BEFORE:
Since Botox and Dysport's effects may increase if you're taking certain antibiotics or other drugs, please inform us, before your treatment, about the medications you're currently taking and if you have ever had ill effects from previous neurotoxin injections.
Keep in mind that it may take two days to two weeks for Botox or Dysport to take full effect.
AFTER:
Following your treatment, work the muscles in the surrounding areas of the injection sites for an hour by animating your face and then relaxing. Then repeat the same facial movements a few times every hour for the next day.
Do not lie down for four hours after treatment.
Slowly resume physical activity, especially vigorous exercise, after your Botox or Dysport injections.
You may experience irritation, bruising, or drooping skin around the injection sites. These side effects are somewhat typical and will disappear.
To alleviate bruising and discomfort, apply ice packs at the injection sites.
Immediately call us at 952-593-9310 if you have a skin rash, sudden fever, bleeding at any of your injection sites, or increased pain or swelling after your treatment.
Follow-up appointments are essential, so plan on seeing us again in two weeks after your treatment.
