              Dentistry and Facial Rejuvenation

 A natural fit.

Dr. Michael Sudit has been treating his patient’s cosmetic dental needs for over twenty five years. When designing, re-designing or refreshing a patient’s smile, not only are the form and function of the teeth considered, but there are numerous other considerations as well. Such things as the patient’s overall health, age, skin tones, shape of the face, lip structure, hair color etc., are all contributing factors to a healthy, attractive, and natural looking smile. There are also a number of dental procedures such as the treatment of habitual clenching and grinding, and facial pain, as well as the treatment of a “gummy smile” or high lip, where the use of Botox®, Dysport® and certain dermal fillers are a wonderful addition. Further, dermal fillers are mainly used in the nasolabial folds (nose to mouth lines), the oral commissures (in and around the lips), and the marionette lines. These are the areas that frame the teeth and mouth and are certainly within the scope and expertise of dentistry. These procedures are safe, cost effective and practical. Therefore, the addition of limited and non-invasive facial cosmetics to overall patient care in cosmetic dentistry is a natural fit.

Education, training and experience.

Dr. Sudit feels that dentists should have been involved with non-invasive facial cosmetic procedures from the very start. Most people don’t realize that during the first two years of dental school, dental students spend considerably more time than medical students studying the anatomy and physiology of the human head and neck. Further, consider the time, training, and experience of dentists involved in the safe (and comfortable!) use of needles, specifically in the delivery of local anesthetics. One of the biggest advantages a dentist has in performing Botox®, Dysport® and dermal filler therapy is the ability to deliver comfortable and profound dental anesthesia. Most of the other health professionals who perform these therapies, have very limited training and experience in dental anesthesia techniques and, even after learning them, often have less of an appreciation for comfortable and precision delivery. Because of this limited knowledge, often, inadequate topical anesthetics are used in their place.

As an experienced and cosmetically driven practitioner, Dr. Sudit focuses on artistry, creativity, detail and perfection. These qualities are absolutely essential when it comes to health care, cosmetics, and long term, trusting relationships with patients.

Convenient for the patient.

Non-invasive cosmetic procedures such as the use of Botox®, Dysport®, and dermal fillers, are generally quick and simple and can be scheduled in conjunction with routine dental visits. The effects of these procedures have an even higher patient satisfaction when used in combination with other professional products. Therefore, we have carefully selected a limited variety of medical skin care products, which are complementary to the lasting effects of Botox®, Dysport® and dermal fillers.
